Three Connectors Before All Others

Why it works

Connector sprawl is the new tab sprawl, so start from the three that pay rent for builders: GitHub is the off-machine safety net, Context7 feeds the agent CURRENT library docs (models otherwise code confidently against last year's APIs), and a real search engine beats the built-in one for finding how things are done now. Running a business instead of building? Skip the dev list entirely and wire the tools already open in your browser.

How to do it

  1. Open the connectors catalog from the + button or settings.
  2. Connect GitHub: click, authorize in the browser, done — your projects gain an off-machine history.
  3. Connect Context7: the agent now pulls version-correct documentation instead of remembering old APIs.
  4. Connect a proper search (Exa or similar) for 'how is this done in 2026' questions.
  5. Business user? Different list: look at your browser's daily tabs — CRM, calendar, mail — and wire THOSE.
  6. Audit monthly: disconnect anything you haven't used; every connector is surface area.

  • Ten connectors 'just in case' is clutter with a security surface — the useful number is the ones you'd re-install tomorrow if wiped.
